2. Web Content and AI Service Results: The TLDR extension accesses the content of the webpages you visit in order to generate summaries and relevant tags. This content is sent to third-party AI services for processing and summarization, and the resulting summaries are cached locally. However, this cached data is not linked to your personal information (e.g., email address).

How We Use Your Information

1. Email Address: Your email address is used for account creation, authentication, and subscription management. We utilize Google and Supabase for account authentication, and Stripe for subscription management.

2. Web Content and AI Services: Webpage content is processed by third-party AI services for the purpose of generating summaries and tags. The content you visit is temporarily shared with these services, but is not stored on our servers. We cache the AI-generated summaries for performance purposes, without linking them to your identity.

Third-Party Services

We utilize the following third-party services to provide core functionality and support for TLDR:

• Google (Authentication): We use Google’s authentication service to manage user accounts and sign-ins. Your email address is securely handled by Google as part of their authentication process. Please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy.
• Stripe (Authentication): Stripe is used for and handling subscription payments. Stripe processes your payment details securely and is responsible for managing your subscriptions. Please refer to Stripe’s Privacy Policy for more information.
• Supabase (Account Authentication): Supabase stores login information securely and is used for account authentication, integrating with Google’s authentication process. Refer to Supabase’s Privacy Policy.
• OpenAI and Alibaba Cloud (Content Analysis and Generation): We use OpenAI and Alibaba Cloud's AI services to analyze and summarize the content of the webpages you visit. We are committed to ensuring your data is secure. Here’s how we protect your information:

• Email addresses: are stored securely on our servers and are not linked to your browsing activity or AI results.
• Web content and AI-generated summaries: are cached locally on our server for performance purposes, and not linked to your personal information.
• We rely on third-party services with strong privacy and security practices (Google, Stripe, Supabase, OpenAI, Alibaba Cloud) to manage authentication, data processing, and subscription management.

Data Sharing

We only share data under the following conditions:

• Authentication and subscription services: We share your email address with Google and Supabase for account management and authentication, and with Stripe for subscription billing.
• AI content analysis: Webpage content is shared with OpenAI and Alibaba Cloud BaiLian for the purpose of generating summaries. We do not retain or associate this content with your personal information.
• We do not sell, share, or disclose any personal information to third parties beyond the services listed above.
